Alex Warren isn’t just making waves, he’s owning the tide. The U.S. singer-songwriter and former *Hype House* star has clinched his third consecutive week at No. 1 on the U.K. Singles Chart with his breakout hit, “Ordinary.” Released on April 4, the track has held off stiff competition from heavyweights like Chappell Roan, Doechii, and Ariana Grande. According to the *Official Charts Company*, “Ordinary” racked up 71,000 chart units this week, fuelled by a staggering 8.1 million streams across platforms, a notable jump from last week’s 7 million.

Warren’s 2024 single “Carry You Home” is also on the rise, climbing one spot to No. 9, giving him his second top 10 hit this year. Meanwhile, “Ordinary” is soaring stateside too, hitting a new peak at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, up 15 places from the previous week.

In a candid interview with earlier this year, Warren opened up about channelling personal hardships, including the loss of both parents and a period of homelessness, into his music. “I’ve started writing about those experiences,” he shared. “Taking something so dark and turning it into something that helps people, that’s beautiful to me.”

Elsewhere on the chart, Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” remains steady at No. 2, while Doechii’s “Anxiety” holds firm at No. 3 after her Billboard Women In Music Woman of the Year win. Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” stays at No. 4, and Ariana Grande debuts at No. 5 with “Twilight Zone,” a standout from the deluxe edition of her 2024 album, Eternal Sunshine.
