The Country genre is really showing up already in 2023, with Dana Schindel being the next in line to show us what they’ve got and wowing us all with their talent. This Canada, Vancouver County-pop artist has blessed the airwaves with the amazing ‘Keep Moving Forward’.
The beautifully emotive, simplistic track tugs on all things heart-related and tells a beautiful story of a real conversation had with her father, which results in some of that warming advice we all need and can only receive from a father.
Dana’s amazing ability to musically translate her own real-life experiences is a talent we all covet greatly, but what makes this track even more amazing is its ability to captivate the emotions of an entire audience with seemingly little effort.
From the first guitar strum, which creates the entrance for the soothing introduction of the track where the scene is set and we are transported to the car that Dana describes to us all and we become a part of the conversation she had with the person we can all now call our father. As the track progresses we become a part of the strength Dana shows as the protagonist which seems to be complemented by the growth of the backing track, from the simplistic guitar strums through to a gorgeous electric solo and rhythmic drum beat that becomes warm and familiar.
Everything about this track is strength and growth with a powerful and much-needed message that sometimes we all need to hear.
