Here at Principle Music we love being apart of artists journey’s and there is only one thing more satifying than being in the thick of their progress, it’s when they offer the level of talent DESERT LIFE provides.

Nestled in the heart of Pembrokeshire, the enchanting indie-folk duo graces us with their latest masterpiece, “Sphere,” an emotional journey through the labyrinth of anxiety and late-night worries. Released on September 29, 2023, this soul-stirring composition is an outright testament to their profound musical talents.

“Sphere” resonates with the darkest corners of our psyche. Singer-songwriter Chris Swales and his long-time collaborator, Brian Mackenzie, craft a sonic tapestry that’s as evocative as it is melancholic. Their delicate artistry, reminiscent of ‘for emma-era’ Bon Iver, sweeps you away into a realm where emotions flow like a river.

As the hauntingly atmospheric music envelops your senses, you’ll find yourself immersed in the depths of contemplation. Chris Swales’ ethereal vocals, complemented by his evocative guitar work, create a sonic canvas that portrays the unease that often haunts us when the world sleeps.

“Sphere” was recorded and produced by Nick Swannell at Studio 49 in Pembrokeshire, with the addition of Huw Rees on drums and percussion, Tom Jordan on E-bow, and the multi-talented Chris Swales himself on vocals, guitar, bass guitar, and percussion. The result is a musical masterpiece that captures the essence of sleepless nights filled with anxiety.

This single is the third in a series of releases leading up to their debut album, “Let It All Pass,” set to be released on October 27, 2023. “Sphere” joins its predecessors, “I Don’t Wanna Know” and “Tangled Light,” which are already captivating listeners on streaming platforms.

As “Sphere” delves into the intricacies of anxiety and late-night fears, it invites you to explore your own feelings in a poignant and introspective manner. DESERT LIFE’s ability to translate complex emotions into music is truly a marvel, and “Sphere” stands as a testament to their remarkable talent.

With its entrancing melodies, soulful lyrics, and the ability to plumb the depths of human emotion, “Sphere” is a musical journey that will leave a lasting imprint on your soul.
