Spotlight Release Review | Bones in Butter- Scenes From The Metro

Read Time:1 Minute, 17 Second

Serbia, Belgrade

One of the best byproducts of what we do here at Principle Music is that we get to experience the creativity of some of the greatest artists from around the globe and Serbia, Belgrade’s Bones in Butter certainly fits that bill.

Made up of Milutin Krasevic, Luna Skopelja, Dejan Skopi Skopelja and Tom Fedja Franklin, Bones in Butter were joined by Thomas Craymer on backing vocals and Srdjan Popov mixing & mastering to create their latest single ‘Scenes From The Metro’.

Discussing a topic of missed opportunity and the centennial dream to have the Belgrade metro completed this track is one that is solemn but delivered in an almost oxymoron fashion of darkness, with some flicker of positive light.

The epic musical experience packs a punch with its deep-rooted skill of delivery and creativity. While maintaining beautiful composition this track provides a totally unique soundscape and escapade through its slow, melodic and classic drum beat, which acts as an anchor for the track. This is overlayed with a great many vocal explorations, from the harmonic choir-like backing to the deep contrasting lead. Woven between these are the faint but noticeable murmurs of further vocals. These provide such a heavenly, profound itch within the listener’s brain, resulting in the need to replay the track multiple times to ensure nothing is missed.

This entire piece offers something entirely unique that deserves to be heard, understood and followed. What all those involved here have done is create something magnificent.
