When we see young talent making an entrance into the scene, we know things are about to change but the question always comes as to whether it will be for the better or worse!
Well, if we take the latest four-piece collaboration between Dublin, Ireland-based LW6, CP6, Dawnz and Florida, USA-based TheKidOnfroy it is clear that is certainly for the better. The chemistry that spews from their latest release ‘Snowin’ gives hope for where the music industry is going.
From the jump of this, it is evident we are about to be taken on a ride as the synths slowly feed us into the beat drop which comes with nothing but bass, that has the speakers jumping out of their casing. It isn’t long before the soundscape fills out and we have nothing but a pure classical hip-hop feeling track, that has that much-needed UK rap scene spin.
Then we move over to the vocals and wow do these guys have flow. Each individual that takes centre stage has their own uniqueness which makes them entirely distinguishable, not only from one another but from others in the scene. This is something that seems to be lacking at the moment, as everyone seems to be creating the same sound, with the same flow and dexterity, it is great to see some going against the grain and so successfully.
This is possibly one of the catchiest tracks of its genre we have experienced in a long time and that is a pure testament to the amazing talent these guys hold and their ability to create and build the correct collaborations.
Everything from vocals through to production offers perfection and the video that accompanies is something to be on the lookout for too. We can’t wait to keep watch on what comes next for these artists.
