The 20th of January was a great day for the country genre thanks to the magnificence that is Richard Lynch. This latest release takes us on a journey through the raw undeniable talent Richard has on offer, while taking us on a wild ride of traditional country with a cheeky feel and an amazing overall vibe.
Kicking off with the genre’s much-recognised and loved riff-heavy entrance we are immediately ready to get up and start swinging around the dancefloor. We are then provided with an explosion of high energy, head-bop-worthy, foot tap enducing drums and the amazing vocals that Richard has to offer, being smooth and glorious in delivery but what is most notable here is the rhythmic flow they have, which offers a unique feel to the traditional soundscape we experience. The interludes add an element of pure joy to the listener and provide a great change to the pace of the track.
It is clear to see within each and every note and tone the cultivation of skill that Richard has been able to gain over his four decades of singing, writing and performing and it is amazing to be able to be in the front row of this unfold.
