Spotlight Release Review | Roxercat- I Changed Today
United States, Nashville
We are going strong for 2023 and some of the greatest have been found already less than a week in, Roxercat is certainly one of them.
This Nashville, Tennessee-based progressive band ended 2022 by releasing their single ‘I Changed Today’, a glorious representation of what rock and roll is and should be, full of funk and groove perfect to be dancing along to.
This is a track to keep you on your toes, with twists and turns within each and every segment, from the guitar riff heavy beginning and hook interludes through to the grooving guitar strums within the verses from Stan Lassiter and the deep sensational bass provided by Bill Francis that flows through every facet of the track.
Then we come to the lyrics, those versatile lyrics that could allow you to apply it to a vast variety of situations and periods, leaving you in the driving seat and making this track very much for the listeners’ experience and life, tell me a single person that hasn’t been through change…
Then we come to the vocals, raw, talented and warming, they offer the listener a unique sharp feel, that is easy to picture yourself singing along with another area where the immersive is possible. The rasp in the voice of lead singer Price Jones is such a warming feature of the track that really itches a part of your brain that leaves you feeling almost zen.
What this amazing band has accomplished needs to be heard and appreciated multiple times, with each listen providing something new, there is never a chance a listener could be bored of this masterpiece. But what is even better is we are in the final countdown to Roxercat’s EP release!
Watch out for the 13th of January when you get to experience even more of this talent.
