The Loud Bangs’ EP “Stray Honey” is a dynamic and energetic collection of five songs that showcase the band’s versatile and experimental approach to rock music. Released on the 14th of February 2023, the EP features a blend of punk, garage rock, and electronic influences, resulting in a sound that is both familiar and fresh.

The opening track, “Electroprize,” sets the tone with its infectious guitar riffs, driving rhythm, and catchy chorus. The song’s electronic elements add a futuristic twist to the classic rock sound, creating a dynamic and danceable tune that is sure to get listeners moving. This complements the next track “Sex Complex” although turned up a notch as a raucous and rebellious anthem that delves into themes of desire, power, and self-acceptance.

“We All Want to Be All Right” slows things down a bit with its dreamy and introspective vibe which is quickly followed by the playful and experimental “This Is a Japanese Robot” which showcases the band’s affinity for electronic music. The song’s robotic voice samples and glitchy beats create a futuristic and otherworldly atmosphere, while the band’s signature guitar sound adds a touch of rock and roll energy.

The EP closes with “Bell Gardens,” a haunting and evocative piece that utilises sparse instrumentation and haunting vocals to create a sense of intimacy and vulnerability, making it a fitting end to this dynamic and varied collection of songs.

“Stray Honey” is a must-listen for fans of experimental rock music, showcasing The Loud Bangs’ unique sound and eclectic approach to songwriting. The pure talent of this band is evident through every single note of these tracks and really should be enjoyed by the masses.
