Spotlight Release Review | Isabel Wing – Late July | Release – 18/10/22
United States, Los Angeles

It feels like the Eva Cassidy-style musicians are coming back around and showing us all what we have been missing! Well, Los Angeles artist Isabel Wing is one of the best of them which is evidenced in their latest EP ‘Late July.’
This four-track masterpiece takes us on a wild ride of emotions, featuring beautifully melodic guitar throughout, and vocals that’ll have you ready to follow anything they tell you to. From the very first track ‘Turning Blue’ we are introduced to the talent Isabel has, with lyrics that get you excited for what else is to come while maintaining a chill emotional attachment to the track, thorough to my favourite ‘Late July’, which is very reminiscent of Eva Cassidy’s Autumn leaves to me. Containing some beautiful keys, this for me is where the EP changes from personal emotion regarding oneself into a position of being through the eyes of someone else, which is a haunting and beautiful concept.
Everything about this EP screams emotions, talent and skill which really does need to be heard to be understood. There is no doubt this can be enjoyed by all regardless of your normal tastes, so have a listen below and let’s show Isabel some love!
