Spotlight Release Review |The Lowtones-Radio
United Kingdom, Norwich
The week we have had some of the greatest times with the best music blaring through the speakers, with one of those great tracks being from United Kingdom, Norwich-based band The Lowtones.
Made up of Oliver ‘Mav’ Mavilio on Vocals, Jack Abbott on Guitar, Tim Cary on Guitar and George Abbott on Drums this amazing band was formed in 2020. Amidst the craziness of the world shone a light of joy as this four-piece came together to share with the world their offering of alternative indie rock, evidenced nicely by their latest release ‘Radio’.
Featuring everything our childhoods experienced and craved from some of the greats, this latest track offers a soundscape filled with epic mind-melting guitar riffs, prominent and gorgeous high-tempo drum beats, sensational bass lines and vocals that will have you swooning and hoping to attain even an inch of that talent.
The lyrics are relatable and broach the topic of intrusive thoughts and the inner narrative that may try to push us away from the greatness we have within us, but more than this it is about seeking closure for oneself.
The production of this ’Radio’ is exquisite with every single lick of guitar, beat of the drum or note delivered being mastered to perfection.
As a band Lowtones are already garnering the respect of the industry, having already made the move to travel to the mighty New York for a sold-out show, multiple radio plays and the opportunity to play at festivals, it is safe to say this is the time to get on board and strap in for the success that is yet to come. We have been promised more this year and we will be waiting eagerly for what 2023 brings.
