Read Time:1 Minute, 50 Second

Netherlands, Alphen aan den Rijn

Anyone worth their salt knows about David Bowie and his style of music, right? Well, what would you say if we could introduce you to an artist that would be able to provide you same feel with a modern spin? That is when I Panic enters the chat.

This Netherlands, Alphen aan den Rijn artist has blessed the work with their creativity in the form of their latest release “(Welcome to the Night of) Broken Promises”. This amazing 80’s styled classic rock piece has the pure soul and feel to have us all bubbling with nostalgia while maintaining the clarity to keep us reminded, we are in 2023.

Being a super energetic, catchy and uplifting piece that follows the story of two ex-lovers, meeting again we can be sure all people can relate to the events that the track explains are unfolding, leading to broken promises.

The track kicks off with a gorgeous classical drum introduction, that if you blink you could miss. But this is fast followed by the rhythmic guitars and gorgeous percussion pieces, accompanied by tinkling keys before we drop into the deep, dark vocals that take us into this extremely theatrical track.

This fast moves into the catchy hooks and chorus, where if there was any part of you not sold, you will be now as your body takes control and you find yourself tapping away. As we progress through, we are introduced to some gorgeous clean guitar solos, where the track fast switches into an almost chant of a chorus, where if you were not careful, you’d think the joy was over, but that would not happen with I Panic, this is where the song grows and we are provided with an encore to this amazing track.

The track is composed with a sense of effortless talent, you can feel not only the skill but the passion that has gone into this piece and it is beautiful to see.

Have a listen for yourself and let us know if you agree.
