Spotlight Release Review | Occurrence-Fudge

Read Time:1 Minute, 33 Second

United States, New York, NY

When you are looking for something different and fresh out suggestion is you look to Occurrence the United States, New York three-piece band. Made up of Ken Urban (electronics, synths & beats), Cat Hollyer (vocals, flute) and Johnny Hager (vocals) they describe their offering as “experimental electronic pop with a nostalgic bent” and after listening to their latest release frankly, we agree.

‘Fudge’ is an amazing track filled with love, lust and tension. Written to be explicit in nature, this awesome piece was a project built out of the remanence of failed creative flows gone by, that were able to be connected, expanded and finally found their place to build into this masterpiece.

Fudge starts out with some of the dirtiest basses that I have heard in a long time, which really sets the precedent for this track, with the beat continuing on in this way throughout, which leaves you needing to screw face along. Then to the seductive and sensual vocals kick in and we are introduced to the complimenting lyrics, also dirty but thanks to the sexual nature of the track.

As the track progresses so does the soundscape, as it opens up and we experience that experimental side of the track. The synths and beat changes add dimensions to this piece that other artists find unattainable and could only wish to have the talent to achieve.

Everything about this track from its creation through to mastering has been meticulously put together and it shows in how clean the sound is and how perfect the composition is. This is really one that will be perfect to have blasting through your speakers and we highly suggest you give it a go!
