Spotlight Release Review | Luna Melero- Take Me Home

Read Time:1 Minute, 41 Second

United States, Los Angeles

We have been fortunate enough this week to discover an artist that is blatantly honest, totally real and very, very talented with it. Whether we want to admit it or not, the first time we see an Ex with their new person, it hurts and can cause an ego bruise, especially if there are still feelings involved, so what happens then? We gun for their attention which is exactly what United States, Los Angeles artist Luna Melero did when they went through this exact scenario, but Luna, true to creative form, went one step further and put it into a song.

Their latest release ‘Take Me Home’ utilised extremely catchy beats, in an 80s dance style to take the listener through this very situation. The heavy snare of the era is brought to the forefront and is combined with some epic synths that flesh out this almost funk-like track creating something ready to dance along to.

We then reach the lyrics which uphold the catchy design of the track, being something easy to remember and sing along to, very much describing what we all feel in these situations. For me, it comes across a little like someone having drank a little too much blurting none stop about how much they want the ex to anyone that will listen. This is delivered with some autotune effects, furthering that 80s vibe and creating an almost dreamy vibe in parts.

Everything about this track from the backing to the vocals and especially the topic’s ability to be unapologetically written about screams pure undeniable talent.

But outside of all of that Luna Melero’s story ends with not winning the ex back but being taken home by them, proving we may not always win the war but the battle is still up for grabs!

A win is a win!
